The "Ordos Culture China Tour – 2025 Qingdao Cultural Week" kicked off on Friday at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, launching a three-day celebration of Ordos' rich heritage, modern vitality, and prairie spirit.
The opening ceremony featured a variety of themed events, including cultural performances, talent promotion, agricultural and pastoral product showcases, investment presentations, and tourism promotions. These activities offered a comprehensive glimpse into Ordos' historical depth, contemporary development, and distinctive city character.
Throughout the three-day event, the main venue hosted a series of themed exhibitions, including a food fair, a specialty product showcase, cultural creative displays, and a photography exhibition.
The venue design, inspired by the central architectural axis of Ordos' Kangbashi District, created an immersive experience that bridged the grasslands of Inner Mongolia with the coastal vibrancy of Qingdao.
In addition to the exhibitions, flash performances by Ordos' renowned Ulan Muqir art troupe brought traditional music and dance to iconic Qingdao landmarks such as May Fourth Square, Taidong Pedestrian Street, and Zhanqiao Pier. The performances created a dynamic cultural exchange, blending Ordos' prairie traditions with Qingdao's maritime flair.
The "Ordos Culture China Tour" is a signature cultural outreach program that has visited over 20 major cities since its launch in 2006, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Hong Kong.
This year's stop in Qingdao continues the mission of promoting Ordos through diverse formats—from exhibitions and performances to city promotion, talent recruitment, and investment opportunities—extending a warm invitation to visitors from around the world to discover the unique charm of Ordos.
