Guo Wenbin?(郭文斌)?was born in 1966 in Xiji of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. To this day, he has written over 10 bestsellers.

Guo Wenbin was born in 1966 in Xiji of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. His ancestral home is nonetheless located in Gansu Province. He received his education at the Guyuan Normal College, the Chinese department of Ningxia Education College and the Lu Xun Literary Institute.

He has written over 10 bestsellers such as "Seek inner peace" and "What does the Di Zi Gui discuss," the novel "Yoga," the essay collection "Waiting on New Year’s eve," and a poetry collection entitled "My eyes make me turn bad."

Guo has additionally published a commentary collection called "By Guo Wenbin." His full-length novel "Lunar Calendar" was nominated for the eighth Mao Dun Literary Award and was eventually awarded with a seventh place during the last round of voting.

The short novel "Auspicious as desired" won Guo the People’s Literature Prize, the Novel Selection Award and the Lu Xun Literary Award. His short novel "Winder Solstice" won the Beijing Literary Award. His essay "The Fortress Forever" was awarded with the Bing Xin Essay Prize.

Several of his works have been translated for the overseas market.

Guo is currently vice chairman of the Yinchuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and editor in chief of Yellow River Literature magazine. He also works as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese Writers’ Association, is both deputy chairman of the Ningxia Writer’s Association as well as a guest professor at Ningxia University and Ningxia Teachers’ University.

He is regarded as "high-caliber personnel" within the national publicity system and enjoys the title of State Council Expert for Special Allowances.
