A total of 35 central ministries had made their 2010 budgets public as of April 11, with Ministry of Transport topping the expenditure list, with 121.2 billion yuan ($17.8 billion), ce.cn reported on Monday.

Six out of the 35 ministries saw their budget expenditure for 2010 surpass 10 billion yuan. All of the ministries' expenditures were under 30 billion yuan, except for the Ministry of Transport.

Seventeen ministries expect their operating revenue in 2010 to surpass 100 million yuan, with the figures for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Transport expected to be more than 6 billion yuan.

This is the first year China's central ministries have made their annual budgets public, after the central government pledged to tell taxpayers how their money was spent.
