More than 800 foreign journalists will cover this year's annual NPC and C-PP-CC sessions. For many of them, it's the Chinese economy that's taking center stage.

Given China's dazzling growth figures even in a year of global recession, all eyes and ears have turned to any emerging clues as lawmakers and political advisors meet and talk. Feng Ling spoke with some of them to find out their expectations.

CCTV reporter Feng Ling said, "All eyes are on Beijing now, as the annual sessions of NPC and CPPCC are just around the corner. And it's not just a crucial policy making season for the Chinese people, reporters from around the world are also closely following the meeting. Now let's find out what their top concerns and expectations are this year."

Konstantin Shchepin, correspondent of Russia's Rianovosti, said, "Many of those journalists have been reporting on China's annual sessions of NPC & CPPCC for several years. As the Chinese economy proved itself last year with a 8.7 percent GDP growth, many are waiting for key message for this year's meetings as what will be China's next moves. Some are even providing their insights."

CCTV reporter Feng Ling said, "Given that China was the only major economy to post dramatic growth in 2009, a year of downturn for the global economy, it's no wonder that the Chinese economy has taken center stage.
