BEIJING, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang has signed a State Council decree unveiling compensation measures for the use of flood storage and detention areas.
The rules go into effect from the date of promulgation.
The document clarifies that the compensation applies to residents with permanent household registration in the affected areas, agricultural producers engaged in planting and breeding industries, as well as property owners within the areas.
In addition, agricultural production machinery from producers other than households is included in the compensation scope.
The central fiscal budget will cover 70 percent of the total compensation funds.
Compensation procedures have also been optimized, with compensation funding directly transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts. Enditem
