Adjust font size:

The Chiefs of the general staffs of the Chinese and Hungarian armed forces held talks Tuesday on further enhancing military exchanges and cooperation.

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) shared increasing cooperation with the Hungarian armed forces in many fields including personnel training and military exchanges, and is willing to join with the Hungarians to promote its further development, said PLA Chief of General Staff Chen Bingde.

Chief of General Staff of the Hungarian National Defense Forces Havril Andras echoed Chen as saying that the armed forces of China and Hungary witnessed frequent exchanges of high-level visits, increasing mutual trust and smooth cooperation. The Hungarian national defense forces will work with the Chinese side to further promote exchanges and cooperation in training, education and peace-keeping.

Chen also thanked the Hungarian government for its support on issues concerning China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two sides also exchanged views on their military construction.
