A troop of rescuers from the Armed Police are going deep into the mountain areas in Dujiangyan City to deliver relief materials to villagers there.

A large amount of relief materials are being dispatched from this storehouse in Puyang town in Dujiangyan city.

Every morning, materials donated from all over the country are collected here from the city, and then transported to villages.

As planned, this batch of materials has been delivered to Changhe village.

Ten people lost their lives in the quake. And most of the buildings collapsed in the village. The villagers now mainly depend on donations from society to make their living.

Chen Shengying, Commissar of Armed Police Forest Contingent said "We went from village to village, and sent materials to people's hands. So far we have made delivery to more than 1600 people. The materials mainly include food, medicine and drinking water. We have resolved to reach the most far away mountainous villages before noon. "

The armed police officer says they have been coordinating with the PLA 301 Hospital. And medical staff will soon be brought here to help treat those injured in the quake.
