Boeing to Expand China Market with New Strategy

Chinese passengers on Boeing planes will be able to watch live football games, receive and send e-mails and surf the Internet during flight in the near future, according to a new strategy of aviation supporting service Boeing will promote in China.

The service involves aero-Internet-access, electronic trading of aviation supplies and aircraft leasing, according to Philip M. Condit, chairman and chief executive officer of Boeing, who is in China for a visit. Condit said that aviation supporting service has been becoming a new growth point in the aviation industry. The global market value of the service is expected to hit US$2,700 billion in the next 20 years.

The Boeing CEO also predicted that China will grow to be the world's second largest civil aviation market in the next 20 years.

With China implementing the strategy to develop its western region, regional aviation will see a noticeable improvement in the country.
