| Residential Areas for Foreigners in Shenyang |

In an effort to secure more foreign investments, the local government of Shenyang, Liaoning Province, has decided recently to establish one or two residential areas for those coming to the city from abroad. These areas will be of high-quality and designed for business people, providing good services, facilities and access to shopping and entertainment. Shenyang municipal government also plans to cooperate with an overseas medical institution to build a foreign-invested hospital this year. And special clinics and wards will be opened in some first-class hospitals including the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University and the Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University. To provide better education for the children of the foreign investors, international schools like the Northeast Yucai School and Sino-Korean International School have been established. Some others such as the Shenyang Foreign Language School and the First School of Korean People will be opening international divisions. Foreign teachers will be hired. With more than 10,000 foreign residents, Shenyang plans to have at least 60 of the world's Top 500 multinational companies investing or opening offices in the city over the next five years.
