Boeing Denies the Order of 737 from Chinese Airlines
Boeing Co. announced August 12 that it hasn't received any official notice from Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for orders of 36 Boeing 737 jetliners by Chinese airlines, reports on the order being incorrect.

Some reports said that five Chinese airlines intended to purchase 36 Boeing 737 jetliners worth US $ 2 billion, the five airlines being China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. As said Air China and other airlines are expected to buy those jetliners sometime in this or next year, but this was followed by Boeing's denial of the order.

Reporters learn from Boeing (China) Co. that it did not get any notice from CAAC about the order, and the deal has not been confirmed. Related sources in Boeing told reporters that although the company denied the order of 36 Boeing planes, it is the company's usual practice to let clients air their views on potential business dealings.
