True Story of China's Astronauts, an Exclusive Key to Ten-year Selection And Training Process

A long reportage named True Story of China's Astronauts was published and issued by the People's Publishing House on October 18, 2003, three days after China's first space hero Yang Liwei's flight into the space. Before this publication, it has always been something forbidden, a top secret in China to report on the experimental research on Shenzhou manned spacecraft and the process from the selection of astronauts to the flight into the space.

The True Story of China's Astronauts unveiled for the first time China's magnificent and picturesque scroll, the manned aerospace engineering, which recorded in precise detail the whole process of China's first spacecraft right from the very motion, planning, research to the development and final blast-off. It has brought to the readers the training and living of China's first-generation astronauts, showing them the beautiful space-suits, the delicious space-food and their residence, the mysterious "red building". Thanks to the highly authoritative and original introduction in this book, the readers can also get to know the colorful and varied experience of Yang Liwei, China's first man into the space. The book collects over fifty photos in color and black-and-white, and what is more important is that it abounds in exclusive first-hand historical material and information. The author of this book, Zuo Saichun, is the press officer with China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
