Separation of Religion and State

China is committed to the principle of separation of religion and state. No religion has the privilege of overstepping the Constitution and laws, or intervening in the performance of administrative, educational, judicial and other state functions. Freedom of religion or belief and separation of religion and state may not be used as pretexts to exempt religious affairs from government regulation. No individual – and in particular no minor under the age of 18 – may be compelled to practice religion, become a monk, or study scriptures in temples or monasteries. No religion may be used to oppose CPC leadership and socialism, or to jeopardize national unity and solidarity among ethnic groups.

政教分離

我國(guó)實(shí)行政教分離的原則，任何宗教都沒(méi)有超越憲法和法律的特權(quán)，都不能干預(yù)行政、司法和教育等國(guó)家職能的實(shí)施。不能以宗教信仰自由和政教分離為借口，放棄或擺脫政府對(duì)宗教事務(wù)的管理。絕不允許強(qiáng)迫任何人特別是十八歲以下的少年兒童入教、出家和到寺院學(xué)經(jīng)，絕不允許利用宗教反對(duì)黨的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和社會(huì)主義制度，破壞國(guó)家統(tǒng)一和國(guó)內(nèi)各民族之間的團(tuán)結(jié)。
