The Chinese road

The Chinese road was paved by the CPC by integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with the realities of China and the specific features of our times. The socialist path with Chinese characteristics is the present form of the Chinese road.

In terms of institutions, this road is based on the Chinese socialist system, which is made up of the fundamental political system of people’s congresses, the basic political systems of multiparty cooperation and political consultation, and the basic economic system whereby the dominant public ownership and other forms of ownerships develop side by side.

In terms of guiding thought, in China’s socialist market economy, great importance is attached to macro-level control and emphasis is given to ensuring that the strength of both planning and the market are exploited effectively.

The role of government in economic operations shows that China not only has a large government but also a good government.

In addition, the Chinese road has some salient features, including, for example, export-oriented policies, a high rate of savings deposits and investment, and importance given to education and developing human resources.

中國(guó)道路是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨把馬克思主義基本原理同中國(guó)實(shí)際和時(shí)代特征結(jié)合起來(lái)走出的新路。中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義道路是中國(guó)道路在當(dāng)代的集中體現(xiàn)。

中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義道路，從制度前提上看，以人民代表大會(huì)為根本政治制度，實(shí)行多黨合作和政治協(xié)商等基本政治制度；以公有制為主體，多種經(jīng)濟(jì)成分并存和共同發(fā)展。從指導(dǎo)思想上看，中國(guó)的社會(huì)主義市場(chǎng)經(jīng)濟(jì)高度重視宏觀調(diào)控，強(qiáng)調(diào)發(fā)揮計(jì)劃與市場(chǎng)兩個(gè)手段的長(zhǎng)處。從政府在經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)中的作用來(lái)看，它不僅擁有一個(gè)“大政府”，而且擁有一個(gè)“好政府”。
