The Overall Plan for Development in Five Areas

An Overall Plan for Development in Five Areas – the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics encompassing economic, political, cultural, social and ecological development – was proposed on November 8, 2012 at the 18th National Congress of the CPC. While economic development continues to be the central pillar, economic, political, cultural, social and ecological development are to be promoted on all fronts, modernization is to be fostered in all areas, and all elements are to be developed in a coordinated manner. The Overall Plan for Development in Five Areas and the Four-pronged Strategy support each other and interact in a planned manner. Proceeding from economic growth, they help develop a socialist market economy, democratic governance, advanced culture, ecological progress, and a harmonious society. Together, they help make the people more prosperous, the country stronger, and China more beautiful. The enunciation of the Overall Plan for Development in Five Areas illustrates how the CPC continues to extend its understanding of coordinated development and of the framework of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

“五位一體”總體布局

2012年11月8日，中共十八次全國(guó)代表大會(huì)提出經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)、政治建設(shè)、文化建設(shè)、社會(huì)建設(shè)、生態(tài)文明建設(shè)五位一體的建設(shè)中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義總布局。在堅(jiān)持以經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)為中心的同時(shí)，全面推進(jìn)經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)、政治建設(shè)、文化建設(shè)、社會(huì)建設(shè)、生態(tài)文明建設(shè)，促進(jìn)現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)各個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)、各個(gè)方面協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展?！拔逦灰惑w”和“四個(gè)全面”相互促進(jìn)、統(tǒng)籌聯(lián)動(dòng)，在推動(dòng)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的基礎(chǔ)上，建設(shè)社會(huì)主義市場(chǎng)經(jīng)濟(jì)、民主政治、先進(jìn)文化、生態(tài)文明、和諧社會(huì)，協(xié)同推進(jìn)人民富裕、國(guó)家強(qiáng)盛、中國(guó)美麗?！拔逦灰惑w”總體布局的提出，體現(xiàn)了中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨對(duì)協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展認(rèn)識(shí)的不斷深化，對(duì)中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義規(guī)律認(rèn)識(shí)的不斷深化。
