The Two Centennial Goals

The Two Centennial Goals were announced at the 18th National Congress of the CPC in 2012.

The first goal calls for completing the building of a moderately prosperous society, and doubling China’s 2010 GDP and per capita income, by the time the CPC celebrates its centenary in 2021.

The second goal calls for building China into a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and beautiful, by the time the People’s Republic celebrates its centenary in 2049, reaching the level of moderately developed countries.

Ambitious on a national level, these goals also reflect the wishes and expectations of individuals, families and communities. They embody the grand vision and ideals of the Chinese Dream, and pave the way for making the Chinese Dream a reality.

The period between the 19th and the 20th national congresses of the CPC is the period in which the timeframes of the Two Centennial Goals converge. 

“兩個(gè)一百年”奮斗目標(biāo)

中共十八大描繪了中國(guó)全面建成小康社會(huì)、加快推進(jìn)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化的宏偉藍(lán)圖，提出“兩個(gè)一百年”奮斗目標(biāo)：到2021年中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨成立一百年時(shí)全面建成小康社會(huì)，國(guó)內(nèi)生產(chǎn)總值和城鄉(xiāng)居民人均收入比2010年翻一番；到2049年中華人民共和國(guó)成立一百年時(shí)建成富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧的社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化國(guó)家，達(dá)到中等發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家水平。這一目標(biāo)，既是中華民族的宏偉目標(biāo)，也把每個(gè)人、每個(gè)家庭、各方面群眾的愿望和利益結(jié)合起來(lái)。這一奮斗目標(biāo)將中國(guó)夢(mèng)的藍(lán)圖和光明前景具體化，成為實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)夢(mèng)的基礎(chǔ)。中共十八大以來(lái)的五年，中國(guó)黨和國(guó)家事業(yè)發(fā)生歷史性變革、取得歷史性成就，中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義進(jìn)入新時(shí)代。中共十九大提出，從中共十九大到中共二十大，是“兩個(gè)一百年”奮斗目標(biāo)的歷史交匯期。既要全面建成小康社會(huì)、實(shí)現(xiàn)第一個(gè)百年奮斗目標(biāo)，又要乘勢(shì)而上開啟全面建設(shè)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化國(guó)家新征程，向第二個(gè)百年奮斗目標(biāo)邁進(jìn)。
