The spirit of the workers in the Daqing Oilfield

In early 1960, tens of thousands of workers from all over the country gathered on the Songnen Plain in northeast China, presented to support a massive campaign to tap oil that was urgently needed by the country.

The arduous task hastened the budding of a new spirit, embodied in the patriotism that encourages people to win honor for the nation, the will to act on their own initiative, the determination to be honest and strict with themselves, and the desire to keep the country’s overall interests in mind.

大慶精神

1960年初，數(shù)萬(wàn)名石油工人從中國(guó)四面八方來(lái)到東北的松嫩平原，展開(kāi)了一場(chǎng)艱苦卓絕的大慶石油會(huì)戰(zhàn)。大慶油田的開(kāi)發(fā)建設(shè)鑄就了大慶精神，是激勵(lì)中國(guó)人民不畏艱難、勇往直前的寶貴精神財(cái)富。這一精神的主要內(nèi)涵包括：為國(guó)爭(zhēng)光、為民族爭(zhēng)氣的愛(ài)國(guó)主義精神；獨(dú)立自主、自力更生的艱苦創(chuàng)業(yè)精神；講求科學(xué)、“三老四嚴(yán)”（當(dāng)老實(shí)人、說(shuō)老實(shí)話、辦老實(shí)事，嚴(yán)格的要求、嚴(yán)密的組織、嚴(yán)肅的態(tài)度、嚴(yán)明的紀(jì)律）的科學(xué)求實(shí)精神；胸懷全局、為國(guó)分憂的奉獻(xiàn)精神。概括地說(shuō)，大慶精神就是“愛(ài)國(guó)、創(chuàng)業(yè)、求實(shí)、奉獻(xiàn)”。
