“他山之石，可以攻玉”，語出《詩經(jīng)》，意為別的山上的石頭，可以用來琢磨玉器。比喻借用他人的批評(píng)、幫助來改正自己的過錯(cuò)，借他人或他國的情況、經(jīng)驗(yàn)、方法等作為自己的借鑒和參考，可以更好地提升自我。這一理念充分體現(xiàn)了中國人開放包容、虛心學(xué)習(xí)的精神。

2017年12月，習(xí)近平在中國共產(chǎn)黨與世界政黨高層對(duì)話會(huì)上引用“他山之石，可以攻玉”，指出中國共產(chǎn)黨歷來強(qiáng)調(diào)樹立世界眼光，積極學(xué)習(xí)借鑒世界各國人民創(chuàng)造的文明成果，并結(jié)合中國實(shí)際加以運(yùn)用。
