Global Environmental Governance

There is but one Planet Earth, and it is a shared responsibility of all states to protect the eco-environment and pursue sustainable development.

Xi Jinping has on many occasions reiterated the importance of protecting the global eco-environment, advocated harmony between humanity and nature, and called on the whole world to improve environmental governance.

At the Leaders Summit on Climate in April 2021, Xi shared his thoughts on improving global environmental governance and fostering a community of life for humanity and nature. He called on the international community to commit to harmony between humanity and nature, green development, systemic governance, a people-centered approach, multilateralism, and the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities. This is a summary of human experience in economic and social development that will work well in promoting global environmental governance.

From the adoption of the Paris Agreement to its own implementation of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, from green cooperation among Belt and Road countries to its own participation in global environmental governance, China has always been a participant in, contributor to and leader of the global endeavor to build an eco-friendly civilization and a beautiful world.

全球生態(tài)環(huán)境治理

人類只有一個(gè)地球，保護(hù)生態(tài)環(huán)境、推動(dòng)可持續(xù)發(fā)展是各國(guó)的共同責(zé)任。中共十八大以來(lái)，習(xí)近平多次在不同場(chǎng)合闡明保護(hù)全球生態(tài)環(huán)境的重要性，倡議人與自然和諧共生，呼吁全世界共同推進(jìn)生態(tài)環(huán)境治理。

2021年4月，習(xí)近平在領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人氣候峰會(huì)上全面系統(tǒng)闡釋推進(jìn)全球生態(tài)環(huán)境治理、構(gòu)建人與自然生命共同體的核心要義，即堅(jiān)持人與自然和諧共生，堅(jiān)持綠色發(fā)展，堅(jiān)持系統(tǒng)治理，堅(jiān)持以人為本，堅(jiān)持多邊主義，堅(jiān)持共同但有區(qū)別的責(zé)任原則。這“六個(gè)堅(jiān)持”主張，是對(duì)人類經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)實(shí)踐經(jīng)驗(yàn)的提煉升華，為處于關(guān)鍵節(jié)點(diǎn)的全球生態(tài)環(huán)境治理貢獻(xiàn)了中國(guó)智慧。

從推動(dòng)達(dá)成氣候變化《巴黎協(xié)定》到全面履行《聯(lián)合國(guó)氣候變化框架公約》，從大力推進(jìn)綠色“一帶一路”建設(shè)到深度參與全球生態(tài)環(huán)境治理，中國(guó)作為全球生態(tài)文明建設(shè)的參與者、貢獻(xiàn)者、引領(lǐng)者，一直為建設(shè)清潔美麗的世界砥礪前行。
