Energy-Saving and Eco-Friendly Industries

Energy-saving and eco-friendly industries provide material and technological support for conserving energy and resources, developing a circular economy, and protecting the eco-environment. Covering energy-saving, recycling and eco-friendly equipment manufacturing, they are among the seven emerging industries of strategic importance that will be developed at a faster pace in China.

In August 2013, the State Council issued a document on accelerating the development of energy-saving and eco-friendly industries, which set clear goals, specified key sectors, and rolled out multiple support policies.

Speaking at the National Conference on Eco-environmental Protection in May 2018, Xi Jinping urged changes in the economic structure and energy mix, and called for stronger energy-saving and eco-friendly industries, clean manufacturing industries, and clean energy industries.

Stronger energy-saving and eco-friendly industries will support pollution control and help meet the people's desire for a pleasant eco-environment. They will promote a sound economic structure that facilitates green, low-carbon, circular and high-quality development, help develop new growth areas for economic transformation, boost green consumption, and foster green lifestyles.

節(jié)能環(huán)保產(chǎn)業(yè)

節(jié)能環(huán)保產(chǎn)業(yè)，即為節(jié)約能源資源、發(fā)展循環(huán)經(jīng)濟、保護生態(tài)環(huán)境提供物質基礎和技術保障的產(chǎn)業(yè)，分為節(jié)能產(chǎn)業(yè)、資源循環(huán)利用產(chǎn)業(yè)和環(huán)保裝備產(chǎn)業(yè)，是國家加快培育和發(fā)展的7個戰(zhàn)略性新興產(chǎn)業(yè)之一。

2013年8月，國務院印發(fā)《關于加快發(fā)展節(jié)能環(huán)保產(chǎn)業(yè)的意見》，對中國節(jié)能環(huán)保產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展作出規(guī)劃，明確提出產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展目標和重點發(fā)展領域，并推出多方面具體支持政策。2018年5月，習近平在全國生態(tài)環(huán)境保護大會上強調，調整經(jīng)濟結構和能源結構，培育壯大節(jié)能環(huán)保產(chǎn)業(yè)、清潔生產(chǎn)產(chǎn)業(yè)、清潔能源產(chǎn)業(yè)。

培育壯大節(jié)能環(huán)保產(chǎn)業(yè)是打贏污染防治攻堅戰(zhàn)，滿足人民優(yōu)美生態(tài)環(huán)境需要的基本支撐；是構建綠色低碳循環(huán)發(fā)展經(jīng)濟體系，形成經(jīng)濟高質量發(fā)展的重要抓手；是培育新的經(jīng)濟增長點，實現(xiàn)經(jīng)濟轉型增長的重要內容；是推進形成綠色消費、培育綠色生活方式的重要途徑。
