A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) told members in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province Wednesday to learn from the dismissal of corrupt officials and incorporate those lessons in the Party's internal education drive.
The education drive, which is currently underway throughout the country, aims at maintain the "advanced nature" of Party members.
"Only when the drive achieves practical results can it enhance the Party's ruling capability," said Zeng Qinghong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during his inspection tour of the province on March 20-23.
Zeng considered it important for local CPC committees to instill lessons drawn from former top officials of the province sacked for corruption.
Heilongjiang is focal point of the nation's anti-graft campaign, as several top officials were dismissed from their posts during the past year. The dismissed include a former provincial governor, a vice chairman of the provincial legislature, head of the provincial political consultative body, and other high-ranking officials.
"To learn lessons from these notorious officials can help fight corruption, educate cadres, rectify the officials' work style, maintain stability and boost development," Zeng said.
He also called on the Party members to adopt the scientific concept of development and optimize the environment for development and revive the old industrial bases in northeastern areas.
