NPC Vice-chairman Meets Russian Duma Security Committee Delegation

Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Sheng Huarenon on Tuesday met a delegation of the Russian State Duma Security Committee.

 

Sheng said, China and Russia are good partners, good neighbors and have been enjoying good strategic partnership of coordination, adding that both countries are of great importance to each other.

 

Vladimir Vasilyev, chairman of the Russian State Duma Security Committee, or the lower house of the parliament, said Russian parliament and all parties in Russia have reached consensus that the Russia-China relations should always be a priority in Russia's relations with foreign countries.

 

The delegation, headed by its Chairman Vladimir Vasilyev, came to China for a five-day visit at the invitation of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee. Apart from Beijing, the delegation will also visit Shanghai.
