Xu Kuangdi, incumbent president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), was elected to a second four-year term on Thursday at a CAE members conference.
The CAE members also elected Pan Yunhe, president of the Zhejiang University in East China's Zhejiang Province, and four others vice presidents of the CAE.
The CAE has 701 academicians and foreign associates. The current members conference opened in Beijing on Monday and concluded on Thursday.
