Olympic silver-medalist Howey Kate of Great Britain was stunned by little-known South Korean Kim Mi Jung in the women's under 70kg judo competition at the 21st Universiade on Thursday.
Kate, who returned from a five-month injury lay-off last month, was obviously not in her best form and fell victim to Kim in the preliminary rounds.
Kate, also runner-up of the 2001 World Judo Championships in the same division, still has chance to compete for the bronze medal.
