 Global Warming or Global Cooling?

Climate skeptics have seized on the severe weather in the northern hemisphere to revive controversy about man-made climate change. And with many regions experiencing the coldest winter in decades, the public is finding it hard to square the freezing temperatures with global warming.

Northern China has suffered record low temperatures this winter. Beijing has seen its biggest snowfall since 1951. Worldwide, the UK is suffering from its longest cold snap since 1981 and freezing cold is gripping millions in the US.

 

Some say the global warming process has stopped and even gone into reverse, with the world on the brink of a minor Ice Age.But other climate scientists say the extreme cold weather is a predicted outcome of man-made global warming. Here are some views:
