China's Tang Gonghong lifted a world record weight of 182.5kg in
the jerk for a total of 305kg to take the gold medal of women's
weightlifting over 75kg category at the 28th Olympic Games
Saturday.
The pervious world records in the jerk and total is 175 and
302.5, which were set by Tang in April this year.
The world record holder became the strongest woman in the world
when she tried her best in the jerk and defeated her nearest rival
Jang Mi Ran of South Korea to the second. Jang Mi Ran had a to
talof 302.5kg for the silver.
Algata Wrobel of Poland had the bronze at 290.
