Thailand's Public Health Ministry on Wednesday announced that 11 more deaths due to the A/H1N1 influenza infection, bringing the country's death toll to 130.

Of the total 11, some five were male as the remainder was female, said Doctor Paijit Warachit, the Health Ministry's deputy permanent secretary, Thai language news agency Thai Rath Online reported.

And, on average over 70 percent of these aged from 31 to 40 years old, the deputy permanent secretary said.

For the A/H1N1 infected patients, the country's total number in August lowered to 9,000 per day from that of 18,000 patients per day in July, he said.

Also, 52 percent of the total A/H1N1 flu contracted patients were in the countryside, largely in Thailand's Northeast and North, the doctor said.

Thailand had its first two confirmed patients on May 12, and according to the World Health Organization, Thailand ranked 33rd as the country, which has been hit by the deadly new virus.
