Liang Guanglie, member of the Central Military Commission and chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), met with Tin Aye, chief of Defense Industries of Myanmar Thursday morning.

Liang said China and Myanmar are close and friendly neighbors of profound friendship. As an important part of the relations of the two countries, military relations have gained healthy and stable development in recent years, and the two sides have practiced friendly exchanges and cooperation in many fields.

Adhering to the principle of building friendship and partnership with neighboring countries, and the policy of fostering an amicable, peaceful and prosperous neighborhood, China will cement the friendship with Myanmar and deepen mutually-beneficial cooperation, he said.
