Brown, Obama agree global action needed on crisis
Adjust font size:

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and US President Barack Obama agreed that a global solution is needed for the global financial crisis after their meeting here Wednesday.

Speaking at a joint press conference following their meeting, Brown said that they also agreed that there should be banking regulations saying no recovery takes place until the banks are cleaned up.

Obama said his meeting with Brown is "productive." Referring to the G20 summit, Obama said: "I came here to listen," stressing that the leaders should seek "common ground", "not our differences".
