你們究竟要我們怎樣生存？

| When we were the Sick Man of Asia, we were called the Yellow Peril. |
當我們是東亞病夫時，我們被說成是黃禍； |
| When we are billed to be the next Superpower, we are called The Threat. |
當我們被預言將成為超級大國時，又被稱為主要威脅。 |
| When we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to open markets. |
當我們閉關自守時，你們走私鴉片強開門戶； |
| When we embrace free trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs. |
當我們擁抱自由貿易時，卻被責罵搶走了你們的飯碗。 |
| When we were falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your fair share. |
當我們風雨飄搖時，你們鐵蹄入侵要求機會均等； |
| When we tried to put the broken pieces back together again, Free Tibet, you screamed. It was an invasion! |
當我們整合破碎山河時，你們卻叫囂“給西藏自由”。 |
| When tried communism, you hated us for being communist. |
當我們推行馬列救國時，你們痛恨我們信仰共產主義； |
| When we embrace capitalism, you hate us for being capitalist. |
當我們實行市場經濟時，你們又嫉妒我們有了資本。 |
| When we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet. |
當我們的人口超過十億時，你們說我們摧毀地球； |
| When we tried limiting our numbers, you said we abused human rights. |
當我們限制人口增長時，你們又說我們踐踏人權。 |
| When we were poor, you thought we were dogs. |
當我們一貧如洗時，你們視我們低賤如狗； |
| When we loan you cash, you blame us for your national debts. |
當我們借錢給你們時，你們又埋怨使你們國債累累。 |
| When we build our industries, you call us polluters. |
當我們發(fā)展工業(yè)時，你們說我們是污染源； |
| When we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming. |
當我們把產品賣給你們時，你們又說造成地球變暖。 |
| When we buy oil, you call it exploitation and genocide. |
當我們購買石油時，你們說我們掠奪資源、滅絕種族； |
| When you go to war for oil, you call it liberation. |
當你們?yōu)槭烷_戰(zhàn)時，卻說自己解救生靈。 |
| When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you demanded rules of law. |
當我們動亂無序時，你們說我們沒有法治； |
| When we uphold law and order against violence, you call it violating human rights. |
當我們依法平暴時，你們又說我們違反人權。 |
| When we were silent, you said you wanted us to have free speech. |
當我們保持沉默時，你們說我們沒有言論自由； |
| When we are silent no more, you say we are brainwashed-xenophobes. |
當我們敢于發(fā)聲時，又被說成是洗過腦的暴民。 |
| "Why do you hate us so much?" we asked. |
我們不禁要問：“為什么你們這樣憎恨我們？” |
| "No," you answered, "we don't hate you." |
你們回答說：“不，我們不恨你們?！?/td> |
| "We don't hate you either, but, do you understand us?" |
“我們也不恨你們，只是，你們了解我們嗎？” |
| "Of course we do," you said, "We have AFP, CNN and BBC's ..." |
“當然了解，我們消息多的是，有法新社、美國有線新聞網、還有英國廣播公司……” |
| What do you really want from us? |
你們究竟要我們怎樣生存？ |
| Think hard first, then answer, Because you only get so many chances. |
回答之前請仔細想一想，因為你們的機會是有限的。 |
| Enough is enough, enough hypocrisy for this one world. |
夠了，這個世界已經容不下太多的偽善。 |
| We want one world, one dream, and peace on earth. |
我們要的是同一個世界，同一個夢想，太平盛世。 |
| This big blue earth is big enough for all of us. |
這個遼闊的藍色地球，容得下你們，也容得下我們。 |
