Dunga changes his mind on age limit for players in Olympics
Adjust font size:

The head coach of Brazil's national soccer team, Dunga, confirmed today the news that he plans to use players above the age of 23 years old for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. However, he did not reveal the names of the players he selected.

"I plan to use three players above the age of 23. The players will depend on the position we need. Experience counts a lot in soccer and we are heavily considering that for the Olympic Games," the coach said.

On Sunday, Brazil's Olympic soccer team will play against the best players in this year's Brasileiro Championship in a practice game. Dunga claims that the game will be a great opportunity to test players in a game-like situation.

"We have been watching these kids for a long time. Now we have the opportunity to place players on a team who play exclusively in Brazil, with the exception of Pato, who still plays for Internacional and can't play for Milan. These players need to be ready to show their individual abilities," Dunga concluded.
