Cuban media Saturday gave considerable coverage of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, saying the excellent performances were impressive and unparalleled.
The opening ceremony showed perfect combination of innovation and the Chinese culture, said Granma, the official newspaper of Cuba's ruling Communist party.
The mesmerizing performances on the opening ceremony impressed not only the 100,000 spectators in the Chinese National Stadium the "Bird's Nest," but also billions of TV audiences across the world, the Cuban News Agency (ACN) said, adding that the success of the opening ceremony could convince more that the Beijing Olympics will be an outstanding Games in history.
Meanwhile, Cuba's official Latin American News Agency said the impeccable opening ceremony showcased the superb planning and coordination work by the host.
