Rising star Wong Mew Choo became only the third non-Chinese to win the China Open champion at last year's event.
En route to the title, she defeated European ace Pi Hongyan, world champion Zhu Lin, Olympic champion Zhang Ning and world No 1 Xie Xingfang.
She is the girlfriend of compatriot Lee Chong Wei, currently world No 2 in men's Singles.

Peter Gade and Camilla Martin are considered Denmark's most successful badminton players.
Gade made history thanks to his All-England title in 1999 and his three European crowns in the men's singles event. The Dane topped the world ranking from 1998 until 2001.
His love affair with Martin came to light at the 1999 All England. They used to top the men's and women' s singles world rankings at the same time, but their relationship ended in 2001.
Gade married a handball player and they now have a daughter, Nanna, born in 2004. Martin married economist Lars Nygaard on May 25, 2005.
