China showed good form at the Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Almaty, Kazakhstan, advancing to the semifinals of the men's 5,000m relay and women's 3,000m relay on Friday.

Li Kongchao, Li Kun, Li Wenlong and Song Jiahua placed second in heat 2 of the men's 5,000m relay quarterfinals in six minutes and 51.250 seconds to make the semifinals, while Gong Li, Wang Xinran, Wang Ye and Xu Aili advanced to women's 3,000m relay semifinals after finishing second in heat 2 in 4:16.308.

In the men's 1,500m, Li Wenlong came out as the winner of heat 2 in 2:18.625 to also reach the semifinals.
