The PLA University of Foreign Languages 

The PLA University of Foreign Languages, based in Luoyang in central China's Henan Province, is a professional educational institution dedicated to foreign language skills training for the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The university was renamed to PLA University of Foreign Languages in 1949, from its predecessor of a language school which was founded in 1938. It offers 29 foreign language majors, including English, Russian, Japanese and German, and nine other majors, including international studies, international relations and security, foreign militaries, and information research and security. More than 50,000 students have graduated from the university, including Xiong Guangkai, former PLA Deputy Chief of the General Staff, three academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and almost a hundred generals. The university has a teaching staff of more than 500, including more than 200 professors, associate professors and senior engineers.

解放軍外國語學院坐落在中國中部省份河南省洛陽市,它作為一所專業(yè)教育機構(gòu),為中國人民解放軍培養(yǎng)外語人才。學院在1949年正式更名為解放軍外國語學院,其前身是1938年在延安成立的中央軍委外文訓練班。本科層次設有英、俄、日、德、法、西等29個語種的外語專業(yè),以及國際信息、國際關系與安全、外國軍事、信息研究與安全、科技外語以及對外漢語等9個復合型專業(yè)。迄今為止,已有5萬多名學生畢業(yè)于解放軍外國語學院,包括前解放軍副總參謀長熊光楷、中國工程院的三名院士、以及近百名將軍。中國人民解放軍外國語學院師資力量雄厚?,F(xiàn)有專職教師和教輔人員500余名,其中教授、副教授、高級工程師200余名,具有博士、碩士學位的占教師總數(shù)的82%。
