The overall employment rate of Chinese college graduates reached 89.6 percent in 2010, 3 percentage points higher than that of 2009 and 4.1 percentage points higher than that of 2008, according to a newly-released report by MyCOS, a third-party research institute that specializes in education assessment.
The report also revealed that the average monthly income of college graduates increased by 349 yuan or 16 percent from the previous year to 2,479 yuan in 2010. Internet developer, financial analyst and management analyst ranked top 3 in the list of top 50 highest-paying jobs. The average pay for an internet developer per month after a six-month probation is around 4,080 yuan, for a financial analyst the wage is 3,959 yuan and for a management analyst their salary is about 3,952 yuan.
The report also published the corresponding college majors for high-paying jobs to provide a reference for graduates looking for jobs as well as high-school students before they apply to a university.
