Born in 1951, Rhonda Byrne is an Australian television producer and writer. Byrne is best known for her 2006 bestselling self-help book "The Secret" and a film of the same name. Based on the law of attraction, the book states that positive thinking and feelings can change people's lives and bring about desirable results such as wealth, health, love and happiness.

The book has been named the bestselling self-help book in history. Within less than six months after it was published, the book sold nearly 4 million copies, and the DVD sold more than 2 million copies.
