Li Xuerui, China's rising badminton star, was born in Chongqing on Jan. 24, 1991. She began her training in 1998 and joined the National Badminton Team's second team in 2007. Li gained a place on the first team in early 2012. Between February and June of this year, Li claimed four individual titles, including the German Open, All-England Open, Uber Cup Badminton and India Open. This time, she became Olympic champion in the women's badminton singles in London.
