"Assassin's Creed III" is an action-adventure open world role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal. It is the fifth major installment in the "Assassin's Creed" series, and a direct sequel to 2011's "Assassin's Creed: Revelations." The game was released in North America on October 30, 2012 and went on for worldwide release later. The game is set in a story taking place during the 18th century, before, during and after the American Revolution (1753 to 1783). The protagonist, Connor, fights against the Templars, who desire to control mankind, and attempts to gain control of the newly forming nation. The game also features a multiplayer component, allowing players to compete online to complete solo and team based objectives including assassinations and evading pursuers.
