Li Hejun, 48, chairman of new energy giant Hanergy Holding Group, became China’s richest man in 2014 with a total personal fortune of 160 billion yuan (about US$25.6 billion), according to the latest Hurun Global Rich List.

Wang Jianlin, chairman of Wanda Group and last year’s No. 1 on the list, slipped one notch this year after his Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co., Ltd. and Wanda Cinema Line Corp were listed.

Jack Ma, chairman of Alibaba Group, ranked the 3rd on the list as the share prices fell. Meanwhile, 41-year-old Liu Qiangdong, chairman of the online sales giant JD group, saw his personal fortune quadruple to 41 billion yuan (about US$6.6 billion).
