The Xujia Mountain Village is located in the mountain area southwest of Chayuan Town, Ninghai County in Zhejiang Province. Its history can be traced back to the end of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) over 700 years ago. The whole village was built with rocks from the nearby mountain. Made of stones, the houses, yards, lanes, bridges, roads and even stools in the village have been well preserved.
