The Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning released an appraisal report of the top medical care centers and specialized hospitals in the city on Feb. 24, 2016.

The report, which identified the hospitals with the best overall medical service, was produced after researching 105 hospitals in the city in terms of their service capacity, efficiency, safety and specialization.

The ranking is based on Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs), an assessment tool which classifies and analyzes hospital cases of different ages, illnesses and complications while putting the ones with similar clinical processes and costs in the same group.

Here are the top 10 hospitals in terms of overall medical service in the capital in 2015, according to Beijing's health regulator.
