Many local governments placed restrictions on freedom of movement in order to curb the virus spread and cluster infection. Land, sea, train and air transportation have all been greatly hit, with trips decreasing by around 70%. At the same time, online travel agencies and platforms were also affected, such as Ctrip, Qunar, and online car hiring platforms.
