# Shahu Nature Reserve

Location: Pingluo county, Ningxia Hui autonomous region (Northwestern China)

Shahu Nature Reserve incorporates wetland ecosystem conservation, biodiversity protection, science research and ecotourism. The reserve consists of both wetlands and sandy areas. As the largest natural lake in Ningxia, an arid region in northwestern China, Shahu Lake is indispensable for regulating the local climate, conserving underground water and mitigating pollution.
