As one of the 30 practical things to better people's livelihood, Ningxia has invested 2 billion Yuan to build or rebuild 1.1 thousand kilometers of rural road, 37.462 million Yuan to complete 6 security and pre-disaster projects and 2.31 million Yuan to build 151 bus stops so far. The government endeavors to open, adjust or extend passenger lines in order to further upgrade the service for passengers. During the process of ameliorating the transportation in rural areas, the construction of roads was combined with poverty relief, the construction of beautiful towns and villages and the building of grape corridor at the east foot of Helan Mountain. Funds were raised through multiple channels to promote the construction of roads in rural areas.
