With the construction of Blue Silicon Valley promoted to a national strategy, Blue Silicon Valley Core Area has attracted 12 national projects, eight colleges and over 150 innovation programs, totaling 170 billion yuan (US$27.4 billion) of investment.
The national deep-sea base, marine laboratory and Shandong University in Qingdao are expected to introduce 250,000 talented people.
Blue Silicon Valley plans to develop into an area with a population of 700,000 within ten years.
