As President-elect Barack Obama assembles his national security team, he is also contemplating the future role of U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Out on the campaign trail Obama spoke often of withdrawing all U.S. combat forces from Iraq within 16 months of taking office -- something that now seems even more likely-- in light of the improved security and political situation on the ground.Jon Decker reports.
