When one thinks of the Spring Festival travel rush, an endless queue of people, super crowded trains and exhausted travelers, are just some of the images that come to mind. But this year, the situation is expected to ease. Beijing railway operators have provided several ways to help migrant workers reunite with their families easily.

The Beijing Railway Administration has launched a new service, offering group ticket sales to companies.

The service will be available at the Beijing Railway Station and Beijing Western Railway Station.

Several companies are already taking advantage of the service.

A company employee of Beijing said, "This year, my company needs more than 800 tickets. The destinations are all around the country. The group tickets service is very convenient."

According to the rules regulating group ticket purchases, companies that require more than 20 tickets to one destination, all on the same day, will be able to enjoy the new service. To qualify, tickets should be purchased during January 19th to 26th. Companies that demand more than 500 group tickets could apply for an exclusive train.

Meanwhile, railway stations have added ticket offices and prolonged the time period for ticket sales.

Wang Yong of Beijing Railway Station, said, "We have added two exclusive ticket offices for migrant workers and prolonged the sales period. Now there are three exclusive offices which sell tickets from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM."

Beginning next Monday, migrant workers can buy group tickets directly from exclusive ticket offices at Beijing Railway Station and Beijing Western Railway Station.
