Living away from their hometowns can leave some migrant children lacking outlets for their creativity. But one Beijing museum is hoping to encourage migrant children to express themselves through drawing. Let's take a look at some of their artworks.

It's hard to believe these are the drawings of 4-12 year olds. The children of migrant workers, most of these young artists are a long way from their home towns.

A child said, "I drew some flowers and a house for my parents and grandparents."

In addition to working independently, the children also made drawings together on a 20 meter canvas. Houses and flowers are a prevalent theme, revealed a desire to be nurtured and to care in return.

"I wish to grow up quickly and be able to provide for the needs of my family and help others in need," said a child.

To help others, the children first need a helping hand themselves.

The Art Museum hopes the event will make a lasting impact on the development of these children.

These children are growing up in a harsh environment and will need all the help they can get for a better future.
