Chinese President Xi Jinping has welcomed his Tajikistan counterpart Emomali Rahmon, and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen in Beijing. Both leaders have come to the Chinese capital for talks on enhancing the countries' partnerships.

China and Tajikistan recently held bilateral talks, when Xi Jinping traveled there in September. Welcoming Rahmon in Beijing, Xi said he wished both sides can further improve cooperation, especially in the fields of energy, transportation and agriculture. Both leaders also agreed to promote the development of the "Silk Road Economic Belt," as well as security cooperation over anti-terrorism and drug control.

In regards to ties with Cambodia, Xi Jinping called for more diplomatic and economic cooperation. He also said more people-to-people exchanges would help strengthen the friendship the two nations share. On his end, Hun Sen expressed his support for China's initiatives to build both a land and maritime roads to boost regional connectivity.
