Iran's Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Njjar said Monday that the country will take revenge on Israel for assassination of a physicist who was killed last Tuesday, the local Fars news agency reported.

"We will take revenge on the Zionist (Israeli) agents and will not let them escape Islamic Republic's practice of justice," Mohammad Njjar was quoted as saying.

An Iranian physicist Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, contradictorily referred to as a nuclear scientist, was killed last Tuesday when a bomb strapped to a parked motorcycle was triggered by remote control outside his home in Tehran.

"Iran is completely secure and there is no concern regarding these issues in Iran... These (terror acts) demonstrate enemies' weakness, since they want to deter Iran's scientific progress," Mohammad Njjar said.

Iran's security forces are working on the issue and they have explored helpful clues, he said.

Iran's foreign ministry has said that there were traces of U.S. and Israel's involvement in the terror attack on Ali-Mohammadi. The U.S. has rejected the charges while Israel remained silence.
